Which companies are required to file DPT-3?
Applicable non-government companies with reportable deposits or outstanding loans/advances (exempted receipts) as of 31 March must file Form DPT-3 annually.

Is DPT-3 required only for public deposits?
No. Form DPT-3 is also used to report outstanding money, borrowings, and transactions that are not treated as deposits under Rule 2(1)(c).

What is the regular due date for DPT-3 Filing?
The regular annual filing date is 30 June. For FY ended 31 March 2026, MCA General Circular No. 02/2026 permits filing without additional fees up to 31 July 2026.

Is an auditor’s declaration required for DPT-3?
Yes. The current rules require the reported financial information to be reviewed and include a declaration by the company’s statutory auditor in Form DPT-3.

Can a delayed DPT-3 form still be filed?
Yes. Delayed filings can generally be completed with applicable additional government fees, subject to MCA portal status and availability of records.
